Men’s Tennis Routs Saddleback in Conference Opener

The Riverside City College men's tennis team hit the road for their Orange Empire Conference (OEC) opener against the Saddleback College Bobcats. The Tigers had no issues leading to a 9-0 victory.

Only two singles matches went to three sets and in each one, the Tigers won the final two sets. Freshman Rafael Rullan found himself in a dogfight after dropping the first set 4-6, but came back to win the final two frames 6-4, 10-7. Freshman Maurice Nolan found himself in a similar situation after dropping the opening set 3-6, but came roaring back to win the final two at 6-4, 10-8.

Freshman Luca Braan handled the number two slot with ease (6-1, 6-0), while freshman Felicien Adam earned an easy victory at the third position (6-0, 6-3).

Freshman Carlos Rullan and R. Rullan teamed up as the top doubles squad leading to a 8-3 victory, while Adam and Braan comprised the second doubles team en route to an 8-4 win.
