Riverside Sweeps All Six Singles Matches in Straight Sets, Wins, 9-0, at Fullerton Thursday

FULLERTON -- Sweeping all six singles matches in straight sets, the Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers men's tennis team blanked the host Fullerton College (FC) Hornets, 9-0, in an Orange Empire Conference (OEC) match Thursday afternoon (Mar. 31) at Fullerton College.

Among the highlights were the wins by RCC freshman Stanislas Bedrune (Ventabren, FRANCE / Lycee Int'l. /Georges Duby Luynes). Bedrune -- who is pictured -- won, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 3 singles after teaming with Victor Iove (Tournai, BELGIUM / Athenee Royale Thomas Edison) at No. 2 doubles to win, 8-1.

With the win, Riverside City, under first-year head coach Thomas Yancey, finishes the regular dual match season with an overall record of 10-8, 5-5 in OEC action. Fullerton finished the regular season at 5-13 overall, 2-8 OEC.

The Tigers are seeking an at-large bid for the CCCAA Southern California Dual Team Championships. The Southern California Dual Team Regional seeding meeting takes place on Sunday, April 3, at 3 p.m. in Ontario.

On April 7, 8, and 9, the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Singles and Doubles Individual Championships will take place and will be hosted by Cypress College.
