Riverside Records 6-3 Non-conference Win Over Host San Diego Mesa Tuesday
SAN DIEGO -- Playing a trio of closely contested doubles matches and then breaking out with four fairly comfortable singles victories, the Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers men's tennis team posted a very convincing 6-3 non-conference road victory over the host San Diego Mesa College (SDMC) Olympians.
RCC freshman Samuel Paque (FRANCE), along with Antoine Voisin, won his No. 2 doubles match, 8-6, and also won at No. 2 singles by the score of 6-2, 6-2.
Riverside improved to 9-7 overall, while SDMC fell to 10-3 overall. The Olympians currently lead the Pacific Coast Athletics Conference (PCAC) with an 8-0 record.
RCC, which is 4-4 in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) competition, returns to OEC action on Tuesday, Mar. 29, when it visits the Saddleback College Gauchos in a match beginning at 2 p.m.
