Tigers Top Saddleback, 8-1, in Conference Finale

MISSION VIEJO -- In the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) finale for both, the Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers men's tennis team topped the host Saddleback College Gauchos, 8-1, Tuesday afternoon (April 1).

Riverside (16-4, 8-2 OEC) lost only at No. 1 doubles against Saddleback (9-10, 6-4).

"Freshman Yann Herve continues to look solid in the No. 3 singles spot, turning in a dominating performance against an Orange County traditional power opponent," RCC head coach Jim Elton. "Freshman David Stanko is coming into form at the right time of year and brought home a great win at the No. 2 singles spot, 6-1, 6-1."

 The Tigers continue their season tomorrow, Wednesday, Apr. 2, with a non-conference home match against the Ventura College Pirates of the Western State Conference at 12 p.m.
