Riverside Routs Cypress, 9-0, for Sixth Shut-out of Season
RIVERSIDE -- Posting its sixth shut-out of the season and third in conference action, the Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers men's tennis team blanked the visiting Cypress College Chargers, 9-0, Thursday afternoon (Mar. 20) at RCC's Fran Bushman Courts.
Riverside (14-3, 6-2 OEC) was off to a fast start when Cypress (0-12, 0-8 OEC) defaulted on No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles. It also was the second time that RCC blanked Cypress.
RCC will be competing tomorrow, Friday, Mar. 21, at home against NCAA Division III power Amherst College (ranked #4 nationally) at 2 p.m.
