Tigers Get Toppled by First-place Irvine Valley, 7-2, Tuesday

RIVERSIDE -- Watching its three-match win streak go by the boards to the same team which last defeated it, the Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers men's tennis squad lost, 7-2, to the visiting Irvine Valley College (IVC) Lasers in an Orange Empire Conference (OEC) match Tuesday afternoon (March 11) at RCC's Fran Bushman Courts.

Riverside (11-3, 4-2 OEC) led, 2-1, after doubles, but then lost all six singles matches.

With the win, Irvine Valley (13-1, 6-0 OEC) swept the conference series against Riverside and prepares to battle for a no. 1 seed in the South.

The Tigers return to action on Thursday, Mar. 13, in a non-conference match at El Camino College at 2 p.m.
