Tigers Edge Bearcubs, 5-4, in Non-Conference Match

RIVERSIDE -- With difficult matches up and down the line-up, the Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers men's tennis team entertained the visiting Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) Bearcubs and posted a 5-4 non-conference home win last Friday (March 7) at RCC's Fran Bushman Courts.

Riverside (11-2 overall) was tied, 4-4, before sealing the decision with a win at No. 3 doubles. Freshman Conner Stephenson (Riverside / River Springs HS) and freshman Jullian Siapno (Etiwanda / Etiwanda HS) did the honors with a impressive 8-0 win.

Stephenson got the Tigers started with a "Eco Boost" performance at No. 4 singles, winning 6-2, 6-1.

Santa Rosa JC (4-4 overall) posted individual victories at Nos. 5 and 6 singles and Nos. 1 and 2 doubles.
