Tigers Post Fourth Shut-out, Second in Conference Action, with 9-0 Home Win Over Fullerton

RIVERSIDE -- Notching its fourth shut-out of the season and second in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) action, the Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers men's tennis team blanked the visiting Fullerton College (FC) Hornets, 9-0, Tuesday afternoon (Mar. 4) at RCC's Fran Bushman Courts.

Riverside (9-2, 3-1 OEC) started quickly with identical 8-1 victories in all three doubles matches over Fullerton (0-4, 0-4 OEC).

"RCC turned in another solid performance top to bottom, commanding the pace in every match and taking home the victory," said RCC head men's tennis coach Jim Elton. "Freshman Yann Herve (Lyon, France) earned the "Eco Boost" award with today's most efficient, energy-saving performance, finishing his match just before Danny Garcia."

"Freshman Joffrey Fecomme (Tourrette Sur Loup, France) sealed the team victory for the Tigers in singles with a great win at the number-4 spot," concluded Elton.

The Tigers will return to action on Thursday, Mar. 6, when they host the Saddleback College Gauchos in an OEC match beginning at 2 p.m.
