Men’s Swimming & Diving Placed Third Overall at OEC Championships

The Riverside City College men's swimming & diving program competed in the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Championships over the past three days hosted by Golden West College in Huntington Beach, CA. The Tigers amassed 606 points to place third overall.

Orange Coast placed first with a total point count of 949. Golden West placed second overall with 683 points, with Riverside following in third place.

Freshman Tyler LeDet highlighted the Tigers as he earned a team-high 52 points. He placed first overall in the 500 Free (4:35.75), while following up with a second-place finish in the 100 Back (52.04).

Freshman Elijah De Vera landed on the podium in all three of his events with two second-place marks in the 50 Free (20.67) and the 100 Free (45.92). His two silver medals sandwiched a third-place finish in the 100 Fly (50.55).

Sophomore Jesus Lopez followed with 41 total points highlighted by a fourth-place finish in the 50 Free (21.33). Freshman Alexandre Le Cornec placed fifth in the 200 Free (1:46.88) and the 1650 Free (17:16.70).

The Tigers dominated the 200 Free Relay to earn the gold medal with a time of 1:23.43. De Vera, Mora, Lopez and LeDet team up to accomplish the feat.
