Two Tigers Qualify for SoCal Regional

Riverside City College finished fifth (790) as a team at the Orange Empire Conference Championship and saw two Tigers qualify for the SoCal Regional.

Ronny Zheng led RCC and took first overall with a four-under 140 (67-73) and earned all-conference honors. Vincent Chen (77-78) and Aidan Forrest (79-76) each carded 155s, while Ken Watanasiripong finished with a 169 (84-85). Prem Worradej rounded out the scorers for the Tigers with a 171 (87-84).

Zheng, who finished with the second-lowest average in the conference (72.5), and Chen qualified for the SoCal Regional Championship. The two-day tournament tees off on Sunday, May 5, at the Rio Bravo Country Club with golfers hoping to advance to the 3C2A State Championship the following week.
