Men’s Golf Swings to Sixth Place Finish at RCC Invitational

The Riverside City College men's golf team hosted the Riverside Invitational this past Monday at the Victoria Country Club. The Tigers experienced one of their better finishes of the season after placing sixths with a total team stroke count of 379.

The Tigers defeated Orange Empire Conference competitors such as Irvine Valley and Saddleback. Sophomore Ryan Dehart paced Riverside finishing one-over with a 73. He penciled two birdies with one coming on the front nine and one on the back nine. He was nearing shooting below par, but two bogies hindered his attempt.

Freshman Taylor Cross earned a second-best mark of 75 highlighted by a one over score on the front nine. He recorded a pair of birdies on the front and one on the back. Freshman Jared Jenkins was a stroke behind at 76. He had a rough front nine, but recuperated by shooting one under one the back nine. He recorded four birdies to highlight the round.

Freshman Jordan Reynoso recorded a mark of 77. He thrived on the front nine by shooting just two over, but struggled on the back leading to a 77. He recorded eight pars on the front nine and five pars on the back nine.
