Men’s Golf Opens Conference Play with Fifth Place Showing

The Riverside City College men's golf team opened Orange Empire Conference (OEC) action in the OEC Neutral Match at the Royal Vista Golf Course. The Tigers placed fifth on the day after accumulating a team stroke count of 387.

Sophomore Ryan DeHart paced the Tigers with a four over at 75. He recorded three pars on the front nine and followed with five pars and one birdie on the back nine. Freshman Jordan Reynoso followed with a five-over at 76 highlighted, while freshman Theo Delehanty recorded a 77. He thrived on the back nine by penciling an even round.

Freshman Jared Jenkins finished his round at a stroke count reading 79, while freshman Taylor Cross was close behind with an overall score of 80.

The Tigers will continue action on Monday, February 25 by hosting the Riverside Invitational at the Victoria Country Club at 11 a.m.
