Tigers Tie for Second Place at Pnoomonia Open Last Monday (Feb. 8)

VICTORVILLE -- The Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers men's golf squad finished in a tie for second place last Monday (Feb. 8) in the annual Pnoomonia Open at Spring Valley Lakes Golf Club.

In the two-man, best-ball tournament, RCC posted a score of 205 (11-under par), as did the Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) Eagles. College of the Desert won the event with a team score of 201.  Orange Coast, Cypress, Victor Valley, El Camino and Palomar also participated. (Full results were not sent out.)

The RCC tandems of Colin McNie and Dylan Boughton & Sean Jay and Jordan Sams finished at 4-under 68. Nick Bridge and Everett Najera finished at 3-under 69.

Riverside returns to action on Wednesday, Feb. 17, when its participates in the MSJC-hosted Eagle Classic at Soboba Springs Golf Club in San Jacinto. Tee time is 11 a.m.
