Entire Rosters Scores in Victory Over Santa Ana

The Tigers entire roster saw playing time tonight as the Riverside City College men's' basketball team hosted the Santa Ana College Dons in the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) home opener. Riverside led wire-to-wire with the Tigers earning the victory by the final score of 88-52.

Riverside was lights out in all facets of the game as they man-handled the Dons in every category. They shot just below 50 percent (49.2%) which encompassed a 40 percent mark from long range with seven different players hitting at least one three pointer. They forced 16 turnovers while committing a season-low nine turnovers. Furthermore, each Tiger had at least one bucket as the points column was left without zeros.

They were efficient with the rock and shared the wealth as they dished out 21 total assists. Eight of them came from the hands of sophomore forward Amir Davis. He flirted with a triple double while adding 11 points and nine rebounds. He was pulled with six minutes left in the contest.

Sophomore Edwyn Collins led all scorers with 17 points on a 60 percent shooting night. In the past three games, he has shot over 50 percent in each contest and has hit 11 threes. Additionally, he added six rebounds and snagged one assist.

The return of sophomore forward Sammy Richardson has done wonders for the Tigers in bench play. He led the brigade with 13 points and two rebounds. Freshman forward Robert Ayala only played 17 minutes, but still scored 10 points landing him in double-digits the last four games he has played.
