Riverside Leads From First Basket; Wins, 79-59, Versus Irvine Valley Thursday

RIVERSIDE -- Andy Cleaves pumped in a game-high 21 points and added a co-game-high rebounds to pace the Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers men's basketball team to a 79-59 Orange Empire Conference (OEC) home victory over the visiting Irvine Valley College (IVC) Lasers Wednesday night (Feb. 16) at RCC's legendary Arthur N. Wheelock Gymnasium.

Riverside City (21-8, 8-4 OEC) clinched third place in the OEC. Freshman guard Brae Ivey added 15 points in a starting role and sophomore guard Courtney Moffatt came off the bench to add 13 points.

Lance Coleman II tossed in a team-high 14 points for Irvine Valley (14-13 overall, 5-7 OEC). Zach Harvey added ten points and Parker Sims yanked down a co-game-high eight rebounds for the Lasers.

Regional playoff berths will be announced on Monday, Feb. 20.
