RIVERSIDE -- Du'Juan Williams drained a pair of three-point field goals in the last 75 seconds of regulation and then poured in nine points in overtime as the Santa Ana College (SAC) Dons overcame a 17-point second-half deficit to defeat the host Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers men's basketball team, 67-58, in an Orange Empire Conference (OEC) game Wednesday evening (Jan. 28) at legendary Arthur N. Wheelock Gymnasium.

Williams, a sophomore guard from Dominguez HS, converted his second trey of the game (all in the second half) to get Santa Ana (12-9, 4-2 OEC) to within 55-53 with 1:15 to go in regulation. Then he connected on another triple, this one with 12 seconds remaining to tie the game at 56-56 and send the contest into overtime.

Riverside (8-13, 3-3 OEC) led, 47-30, with 10:19 to play before the Dons mounted their comeback.

In the extra session, Williams scored the first five points on a pair of free throws and another three-point field goal, and then added four more free throws down the stretch to keep the Tigers at bay. Williams finished with a co-game-high 18 points, while sophomore guard Ramez Michail (Savanna HS) added 17 points and sophomore guard-forward Kyle Kintzle (Tustin HS) came off the bench to add 14 points.

Both teams return to OEC action on Friday, Jan. 30, at 5 p.m. to open the second round of conference play. RCC will visit the Fullerton College Hornets while Santa Ana will trek to play the Saddleback College Gauchos in Mission Viejo.
