RIVERSIDE -- Deion Page's go-ahead layin gave the Orange Coast College (OCC) Pirates the lead for good at 53-52 with 8:55 to play and OCC hung on for a 72-67 Orange Empire Conference (OEC) win over the Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers in a men's basketball game Wednesday night (Jan. 14) at RCC's historic Arthur N. Wheelock Gymnasium.

Page, a freshman guard from Chino Hills HS, finished with 17 points, while freshman forward Davasyia Hagger (Beaverton, OR) had a team-high 18 points and a co-game-high 15 rebounds.

Sophomore forward Taj Adams (Los Angeles / Fairfax HS) had a game-high 24 points and a co-game-high 15 rebounds.

Riverside (7-11, 2-1 OEC) led, 42-32, with 17 minutes left, but the Pirates forged a 44-44 tie with 14:11 to play. The Tigers outrebounded OCC (4-11, 2-1 OEC), 40-25. The Pirates had only four offensive rebounds.

RCC will return to action on Friday, Jan. 16, when it visits the Irvine Valley College (IVC) Lasers in a 7 p.m. tipoff. OCC, which will have a bye on Jan. 16, will next be in action on Wednesday, Jan. 21, when it visits the Santa Ana College Dons in a 7 p.m. tipoff.
