Tyler Kennedy Named SCFA National Division All-Purpose Player of the Week

For the second time in his career and first time this season, sophomore wide receiver and kick returner Tyler Kennedy has been named Southern California Football Association (SCFA) National Division All-Purpose and Special Teams Player of the Week.

Kennedy was a main catalyst in a 55-17 week one victory over the El Camino College Warriors. He did damage whenever he was handed the rock. In the passing game, the sophomore speedster reeled in four grabs for 68 yards and a 33-yard touchdown reception. He averaged 17 yards-per-catch as well.

He flipped the switch in a game that was separated by 10 points as he returned a 99-yard kickoff return to the crib following an El Camino score. He finished the game with two kick returns for 122 yards with an average of 61 yards-per-return.

Kennedy was the 2018 Week Three SCFA National Division All-Purpose & Special Teams Player of the Week in a dominant victory over San Bernardino Valley, 77-35. He had returned a 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the contest.
