Tyler Kennedy Named SCFA Special Teams Player of the Week

The Riverside City College football team handed down a beating to the San Bernardino Valley College Wolverines this past Saturday by defeating them 77-35. In the midst of a stellar offensive showing, freshman kick returner Tyler Kennedy was name the Southern California Football Association (SCFA) Week Three Special Teams Player of the Week.

Kennedy was dynamic in the return game highlighted by a 94-yard kick return for a touchdown on the opening kickoff of the game. He finished with a total of 132 yards kick retunr yards to go along with 26 punt return yards.

It was the first time this season that the Tigers utilized him in the special team's game and it boded well. Kennedy also plays wide receiver for the squad and has hauled in a total of five catches for an even 100 yards and a touchdown.
