JC Jackson '15 Signs with New England Patriots

The Riverside City College football team has been known to transfer players to top-notch four-year universities and go on to have successful careers. For some, they have the opportunity to enter into the professional field whether in the NFL or another avenue. For former Riverside cornerback JC Jackson, he was granted the opportunity to play on the grand stage. He has signed a contract with the reigning super bowl champions New England Patriots.

Jackson played for the Tigers during the 2015 season after transfering from the University of Florida. He saw time in six games as a defensive back. He recorded 25 total tackles with 20 going as solo stops to average 4.2 tackles-per-game. Furthermore, he forced two fumbles and recovered one fumble. He also batted down two potential receptions.

In 2016, Jackson played for Big Ten University of Maryland where he started in 11 games and played in 12.  He made 40 tackles, nabbed an interception, and lead his team with five break ups. The following season he was named an honorable mention all-conference player after starting in all 12 games while making 40 stops, three interceptions, and seven pass break ups.

Jackson impressed at the NFL Combine after running a 4.46 40-yard dash, 14 bench reps, 35.5 in vertical jump, and 120 in. broad jump.
