Six Former Tigers Representing in the Major Leagues

 Riverside City College and its baseball program have had many players drafted by Major League Baseball teams throughout the years, but the 2013 season seen SIX Tigers play for five different big league teams. As the MLB draft takes place every year, there are and always will be millions of amateur baseball players (young men) waiting for that phone call from one of the big league clubs, letting them know, they have been drafted and that their pursuit to becoming a major league baseball player may begin. Out of the 100+ players drafted out of RCC over the last 23 years, SIX were playing for FIVE different major league teams during the 2013 season. The Six Tigers who made their dreams come true were: Chris Stewart, Catcher, New York Yankees, Tommy Hanson, RHP, Anaheim Angels, Dane DeLaRosa, RHP, Anaheim Angels, Greg Dobbs, Utility, Miami Marlins, Jesse Chavez, RHP, Oakland Athletics, and Thomas Neal, Outfielder, New York Yankees & Chicago Cubs.
