Beach Volleyball Edged by Long Beach

The Riverside City College women's beach volleyball program continued play on Wednesday morning by facing off against the Long Beach City College Vikings on the road. The Tigers tallied two victories, which included a tight three-set battle at the fourth position, but were unable to climb over the hump leading to a 3-2 defeat.

Freshman duo Nina Peay and Audrey Elias were the team that battled to a three set win after dropping the opening set, 21-23. They worked to a dominant 21-10 win in the second set, backed by a 15-10 third-set win. It is the pairing's third win of the season to lead the team.

Freshman duo Paris Toaetolu and Kaylie Torres earned the second and final win at the fifth spot by the final scores of 21-11, 21-17.

Freshman duo Azriel White and Lanah Bergen made up the top duo and are still on the hunt for their first victory of the season. They fell 11-21, 8-21. Sophomores Mya Castro and Hoku Goday fell in a closer battle by the final count of 16-21, 14-21.
