Riverside Track & Field Competes at UCLA Legends Invite

The Riverside City College track and field program traveled to UCLA's Drake Stadium in Los Angeles, CA to face off against multiple Division I competitors featuring the likes of San Diego State University, Washington State, University of Utah and many more.

Freshman Annayah Pelt performed well by earning a pair of top-12 finishes coming in the 400 M (57.15) and the 200 M (25.08). Sophomore Madeline Corner earned a 10th place finish in the 400 M Hurdles (1:04.36).

Sophomore Angelique Hudson continued to put up solid marks in the Shot Put with a mark reading 13.80 m, while freshman Keiana Turner earned a top-10 finish in the Hammer with a mark of 45.15m.

On the men's side, sophomore Antonio Mitchell reigned supreme in the 200 M (21.06). Freshman Mohamed Mohammed had the next-best finish with a silver medal time in the 800 M (1:53.81). Sophomore Dillon Lay earned a fifth place finish in the 400 M Hurdles (56.45).

Sophomore Keylan Dennis earned a 10th place finish in the 400 M (48.64) to highlight a deep grip of runners, while sophomore Enrique Villa earned a pair of top-10 finishes in the 1500 M (4:12.24) and the 800 M (1:57.23).

Sophomore Justin Reed placed third in the High Jump (1.80m), while freshman William Dower placed seventh in the Long Jump (6.71m). Sophomore Marcos Gonzalez continued to make waves in the Javelin with a fourth-place finish (48.17m).

Riverside will continue action on Tuesday, April 2 at the SoCal Hep/Dec followed by a meet at Arizona State University at the ASU Sun Devil Invitational the following Friday.
