Tigers compete at UCLA Legends Invite

The RCC men's track and field team competed this past weekend at the UCLA Legends Invite/Bob Larsen Distance Carnival.  The men once again were led by a very strong distance crew with big performances by freshman Alec Hall (Norco HS) and sophomore Cade Clark (Santiago HS) in the 800m running 1:52.67 (3rd fastest time in the state) and 1:54.7 respectively.  Hall was able to put up another solid performance running a 3:56.88 in the 1500m the next day, which is the 2nd fastest time in the 1500m behind fellow teammate Christian Malloy.  The long distance also are proving to be a force to be reckoned with Christian Malloy (Vista Murrieta HS) running a 15:23.93 in the 5000m winning his heat, Isaiah Quiambao running the 10000m in a time of 32:25.94 (5th fastest time in the state), and Michael Simpson running the 3000m Steeplechase in a heat winning time of 9:13.28 (2nd fastest time in the state).  In the triple jump James Wilson put together another solid day on the runway jumping a season best 14.75m/ 48'4.75" which is the 4th farthest jump in the state this year.

The Tiger's will be busy this weekend competing in two invitationals.  The Cerritos Invite will be held on April 7th and the Rafer Johnson Invite on April 8th.
