Bio

If there is one combination that George and Mary Linda Daddona know is a hot seller, it’s food and sports. The Daddona-RCC story began 15 years ago when daughter Michelle was hired as head softball coach for Riverside City College.

George and Mary Linda did not realize how much fundraising would be required to build and run the softball program but knew they wanted to help. Both had played school sports and they strongly believed that athletics created a well-rounded life and friendships that can last a lifetime. They suggested starting a snack bar to improve attendance and make money for the program. Little did they know that the mouthwatering pasta dishes they prepared onsite would start a tradition.

“We are proud to off er good, healthy food prepared fresh to order,” said Mary Linda. “The attendance at the games has truly grown, and I would like to think in our small way we have contributed to the success by complementing the program with a supportive crowd to cheer for the student-athletes.” Not only do the Daddona's remain busy with the RCC softball and football snack bars, they also own Claro’s Italian Market in Upland, as well as five other Claro’s in Southern California. It all started when Mary Linda’s grandparents, Joe and Mary Claro, opened a small specialty grocery in the San Gabriel Valley in 1948.
Since then it has become a family affair.
